Partick Thistle Football Club Partners with The NWH Group to Boost Recycling and Reduce Carbon Footprint

We are delighted to announce a new three-year partnership with Partick Thistle Football Club. This collaboration underscores Partick Thistle's commitment to sustainability and aims to significantly increase recycling rates within the club to achieve zero landfill.

Recognising the importance of environmental responsibility, Partick Thistle segregates waste at source and actively engages with fans and stadium users to encourage proper waste disposal. With the support of The NWH Group, further waste segregation will be carried out at our state-of-the-art processing depot, where advanced processing technology will separate materials for reuse, contributing to a circular economy.

Head of Group Marketing & Commercial at Partick Thistle commented on the partnership: “As we endeavour to advance our green credentials, we are extremely pleased to welcome NWH into our sponsorship family. Together, this partnership reinforces our commitment to reducing waste, especially on matchdays. We anticipate our collaborative endeavours for the protection and cultivation of our environment.”

Kelly M. Lock, Commercial Sales Lead at The NWH Group, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: "We are delighted to partner with Partick Thistle Football Club as its official waste and recycling partner. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, helping businesses to increase recycling rates and putting materials back into the circular economy to be used repeatedly.”

Lock further added, “As part of the partnership, we are also thrilled that we will be investing in the local community, with a view to helping to support grassroots sport after a difficult 36 months.”

The partnership between Partick Thistle Football Club and The NWH Group marks a significant step forward in both organisations' sustainability efforts. By working together, we aim to inspire fans, staff, and the broader community to adopt responsible waste management practices and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.
