NWH Provides Waste Services for Edinburgh's Hogmanay

As part of our partnership with Unique Assembly, we will not only be providing our waste management services to the renowned Christmas markets, but we will also be providing coverage for Edinburgh's Hogmanay events and the Torch Light Procession.

This year, Unique Assembly is determined to make the procession bigger and better than ever with an exciting reboot to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this legendary event. In Edinburgh, over 20,000 residents and visitors will come together to commemorate the incoming new year, illuminating the old city streets, and creating unforgettable memories as the torch bearers for this iconic gathering. This year, Unique Assembly has also partnered with the well-known homelessness charity, Social Bite, to "shine a light on homelessness" through the Torch Light Procession and raise £50,000 to support this important cause.

To ensure the sustainability of this incredible event, The NWH Group will be providing over 50 bins to cover the entire procession route and event areas. From the starting point in The Meadows, where participants can enjoy pre-walk activities like fire performers, pipe bands, and entertainment, to the end of route point in Holyrood Park, where a phenomenal firework display awaits, we are committed to keeping the event clean and enjoyable for all.
