The Great NWH Bake Sale: Raising Funds for Childrens 1st in honor of National Children's Day

Yesterday was National Children's Day, which is all about the importance of a healthy childhood, and how we need to protect the rights and freedoms of children and young people. 

This is a cause that is close to our hearts, as we have been actively campaigning and raising funds for our partner charity, Children 1st, for many years. Children 1st has been empowering businesses across Scotland to keep children safe since 1884. They work tirelessly to ensure that children are loved, safe, and well, while remaining with their families.

To mark this occasion, we organised The Great NWH Bake Sale inviting our team from all of our sites to participate in a Bake Sale and make a baked good. We also encouraged everyone to indulge in all the amazing baked goods and donate what they can to Children 1st. 

The money raised this week could be used to help a support worker resolve debut issues for a family, so they don't have to worry about having their energy cut off or can be used to provide fuel vouchers so families can keep their children warm, clean, and well fed. A little can go a long way, every penny donated will help a child feel secure and loved.
