April Fools day: A Tribute to Authenticity and Laughter, remembering our CEO

 As April Fool's Day dawns upon us, amidst the laughter and light-hearted pranks, we at the NWH Group find ourselves reflecting on a cherished memory, one that embodies the essence of who we are as a company – a family united by authenticity, humour, and genuine care. 

Last year, our beloved CEO, Mark Williams, departed from this world unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and laughter. Mark wasn't just a leader; he was a cornerstone of our family-owned national Waste and Recycling business, headquartered in Scotland. His passing was not just a loss for his family, but for each and every one of us who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Mark personified the values that define the NWH Group – authenticity, professionalism, and doing the right thing, all while remaining grounded and down-to-earth. His spirit continues to inspire us, even in his absence, reminding us of the importance of fostering a culture of camaraderie and joy in everything we do. 

This April Fool's Day, instead of concocting new antics, we want to revisit one of the most memorable pranks in NWH Group history – a prank that epitomised Mark's boundless passion for his colleagues and our team's commitment to authenticity and humour. 

In this prank, Mark was set up by Kevin Wheelan, one of our dedicated employees, to orchestrate a prank that left everyone in stitches. It wasn't just about the joke; it was about the genuine connection and camaraderie shared between Mark and Kevin, and indeed, among all of us at the NWH Group.
