An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Coordinator/Transport Team Leader to join our team. This role will be responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day logistics of the NWH fleet across several different vehicle sectors including Skips, Roll on Roll off Hook and Trade Waste vehicles.
The ideal candidate would have experience within a similar role, knowledge of Transport Legislation, have the ability to manage a demanding situation, and be a positive team player. It is essential to be competent in using the Microsoft Office packages and to be confident navigating online platforms e.g. tracker and work allocation systems.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 7am-5pm, with rotational Saturday working, and will offer a competitive salary of £31,000 - £35,000 per annum dependant on experience, with the right person OTE over £40,000 per annum. Based on £35k + 15% bonus.
The business is now ready for the next phase of growth following strong trading performances. We are recruiting to expand our team to deliver this growth.


Job Activities:

  • Communicate and allocate work with drivers as cost effectively and efficiently as possible
  • Leading a team of drivers in a positive proactive manner
  • Assist other transport coordinators in the logistics of their vehicles and drivers as required
  • Enforcing Health, Safety and Compliance requirements with drivers
  • Management of driving staff including recording of sickness, holidays, payroll, and continuously reviewing driver performance.

Transport Coordinator Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Logistics industry experience
  • Tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations

Collecting waste with our fleet of Trade Refuse, Skip, Tipper, Grab and Walking Floor articulated vehicles, we transport materials to our material recycling facilities where we produce and recover valuable products such as metals, cardboard, paper, washed sands, biomass for energy and animal bedding.
