To help us with our efforts, we are now hiring a Site Supervisor in Dumfries. This role’s primary purpose is to ensure the safe, proper and compliant operation of the site while delivering effective KPIs. The Site Supervisor will manage the entire site team, ensuring that all key roles are covered, will be responsible for overall day-to-day running, weighbridge and yard operations.

This is a full-time job, offering a competitive salary of £31,000 per annum

 

Main Job Activities

  • Monitor and control vehicle movement on site.
  • Liaise with the internal and external stakeholders for an effective waste stream.
  • Maintain a high level of safe working across the site.
  • Ensure the site traffic plan is up to date and adhered to by all people and vehicles accessing the site.
  • Maintain the SEPA site operating plan and complete SEPA returns
  • Provide weighbridge cover when required.
  • Support weekend working when required.
  • Good general daily housekeeping of the site.
  • Daily report produced with details of plant start and end times and tonnage produced.
  • Manage and monitor performance of all yellow plant on site, including ensuring compliance to maintenance and repair schedules.
  • Develop / maintain and execute a site improvement program with the Processing Manager.
  • Ensure the Electricity / Fuel / Water usage is monitored and minimized.
  • Ensure machinery and cabins are locked at end of shifts.
  • Complete any other reasonable tasks or requests as required.
  • Ensure breakdowns are reported to line manager in accordance with the site escalation process.
  • Monitor completion of all downtime recording and maintenance adherence to plan.
  • Implementing and overseeing the company's Health & Safety Policies and procedures
  • Effective and professional management of site personnel, including regular staff appraisals

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • 360 & Loading Shovel CPCS Tickets
  • Experience with Quarry / Recycling Plant and equipment (desirable)
  • IOSH – Managing Safely
  • Wamitab Level 4
