About the Role:


Are you an experienced professional with a strong background in plant operations and leadership? The NWH Group is looking for a Plant Supervisor to join our dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art wash plant.

As the Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the wash plant, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and supporting site objectives regarding quality and throughput. You will work closely with the Wash Plant Technical Lead and Site Manager to maintain high operational standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of site performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of safe working across the site.
  • Adhere to SEPA site operating plans and environmental requirements.
  • Support weekend working when required.
  • Ensure good housekeeping across the site.
  • Deputise for the Wash Plant Technical Lead/Site Manager when needed, including:
    • Producing daily reports on plant operations.
    • Conducting daily material stock takes.
    • Updating weekly timesheets.
    • Ordering processing chemicals.
  • Work with site technical leads to meet daily KPIs.
  • Control and record the use of electricity, fuel, and water.
  • Secure all machinery and cabins at the end of shifts.
  • Report breakdowns in line with the site escalation process.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance and document it in the CMMS.
  • Adhere to company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of all produced materials.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external testing requirements.
  • Support the smooth and efficient operation of the plant.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Experience with quarry, cement, or recycling plant and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience in risk assessments and method statements.
  • We are willing to sponser the right person for this role

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong commercial knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of recycling facilities and/or aggregate wash plants.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • CPCS tickets for 360 & Loading Shovel.
  • Mechanical knowledge (changing bearings, pump servicing, etc.).

  • Plant safety and compliance.
  • Plant throughput.
  • Downtime reduction.
  • Absence management.
  • Adherence to maintenance plans.
