- How long have you worked at NWH?
I’ve worked with the group for 14 months now.
- How did you come about your job at the NWH Group?
The family business was finishing up and my relative Matthew who knew a few of the recruitment team put in a good word for me and I got an interview
- Did you know any of the drivers at NWH before you started?
I knew a couple but then when I actually started I realised that a lot more people I knew worked here too.
- Did the position as an NWH Group driver turn out to be as you expected?
No, I had expected it to be your ordinary lonely driving job but we all have a good laugh and every day’s different.
- Describe your working day.
Arrive at the crack of dawn check lorry over do the work allocated back to yard do paperwork hand in get work for next day, unless I’m an overnight away… then I get tucked in in my lorry with my pot Noodle and Corrie.
- Do you get the opportunity to drive a variety of trucks?
Yes, I drive a variety including the Atrics
- If so what’s your favourite?
I don’t have a favourite truck but Louis MacKay is my favourite driver
- What’s your favourite thing about your job?
- Where do you think you will be in 5 years time?
