On our mission to eliminate waste we provide waste collection services to the Leisure, Retail and construction industries. Collecting waste with our fleet of Trade Refuse, Skip, Tipper, Grab and Walking Floor articulated vehicles, transporting materials to our Material recycling facilities where we produce a valuable product such as cardboard, Paper, Washed sands, Biomass for energy and animal bedding.

We are now recruiting for a Plant Fitter to join our HGV workshop operation based from our Head Office in Dalkeith. We maintain our own varied fleet of HGV vehicles including Tippers, Skips, Hooks, Artics, trailers, Bin Lorries and Road Sweepers, as well as plant machinery including 360 excavators, Loading shovels, Forklifts, Power screens, Crusher, Trommels, Conveyers, Doppstadt etc; which are essential in our day to day delivery of services that we provide to the Construction and Waste Industries. Occasional working at our other sites including Glasgow, Dundee and Newcastle is to be expected.

This is a full-time position, working approx. 55 hours per week Monday to Friday on day shifts, with occasional Saturday working. A competitive rate of pay will be offered for the right candidate and may include the use of a company vehicle.

The successful Plant Fitter will be involved in;

-          Servicing & Maintaining Plant

-          Managing plant defects

-          Making up Hydraulic hoses

-          General welding where required

In return, the NWH Group offers;

-          Basic rate of pay first 8 hours Mon to Fri

-          Time and a half overtime rate

-          Time and a half rate all Saturdays

-          Double time for Sunday work
